Weird Ideling???

for some reason I don't understand my 94 accord EX-R when u put it in park sometimes it revs up and down between 1000 and 2000 Rpms, and when I also went to get gas and it was almost on empty I put $20 in put me over half drove about 60km at about 100 kph and its pretty much on empty again can anyone tell me wtf is going on with this thing??

vacuum leak could be causing the ideling problem. my car usedto do it and it ended up being that it just needed a new throttle body gasket

iac maybe? mine did that and it was the fitv

imported_My93Civic 14-Dec-2005 09:04 PM

Notorious on Integras. My familys Integra is doing that right now. I hear its either two things. iac or mostly fitv.

the temp gauges reads always cold now and doesn't blow out that much heat in the car.

if the temp guage always reads cold, that maybe be related to thermostat

possibly your thermostat...I was having the same problem, where the gauge only sits at C and blows minimal heat, warms up a little when Idling, then needle goes back down when I start driving.

I change my thermostat, and problem fixed...Change your rad fluid at the same time, if you're changing thermostat
