water in main relay..........

water in main relay..........

wowowow
car broke down agian yesterday
last time i replaced the main relay and the battery and finally got my car working
yesterday car broke down i first checked the main relay..opened it up and it was full of water so im guessing it is fried..
how would water get it in? this happen to any1?

well.. you got a leak coming in from the hood drain into the interior.. water will run down the wire into the relay.

If you got a sunroof, could also leak from the sunroof drain.

what year civic? getin there with a flash light and follow the wet trail..

good thing your car didn't burn down... I'd seal that bad boy up with silicone just for good measure

i got it to work just changed the main relay..... thanks to brian for letting me borrow his

take out the main relay everytime??

That's definitely not the solution.. if water is getting in the car, something else is gonna eventually short out! You gotta find the leak...

Gonna have to check when it's raining or something..

maybe check under the front panel where the wipers are.. might be something noticable..

You sure there's no gaps on the edges of your windshield? maybe waters leaking at the bottom of the windshield then going down..

what I've seen happen is leafs plug that drain, and water gets in past the fan blower motor. but that was on an old skool Olds.
