well besides the fact that they are GAS filled and OEM are oil, making them significantly different, the HP will give a way better ride and handel the spring rates better. Probably the best non adjustable shock, along side the koni red. READ here Gas vs Oil

i personally like the fact that they are non-adjustable because i know if they were adjustable, i'd keep experimenting and wasting time. I bought the hp's b/c of their non-adjustablility, but hey, that's just me, i'm a daily driver and i don't need some massive performance out of the shock. I just need em to work and last with my springs!

It's a conservative drop. Those shocks/struts will handle it. Remember to trim the bumper stops..

ya i trimmed the bump stops. I'm just an everyday driver, so i don't need some massive performance out of them. I will be happy as long as they last. The ride is soft like stock and firmer over small bumps and **** like that. That is exactly what i wanted.

see i have the illumina's and i love the fact they are adjustable... cause you can spend 30 secs and you can totally change the handling of the car... i guess it depends what you want out of the car also... cause i'll probably be hitting up some autox this year so being able to drive to the race nice and soft then stiffening it up is a nice feature
