If you want a nice and relatively inexpensive controller, then get the Jackson Racing one. If you want VTEC and a basic tunning control setup, then go for the VAFC from Apexi.

What do you need a controller for? What tuning do you plan on doing?

get an MSD rpm switch...cheap and you can hook it up to activate vtec at any rpm.

I was going to say that

or make one your self

you said you want a "V-tec controler"

but whats it going to control?

you have no v-tec

Just get a "plunger switch" and run thet to the selnoid and apower sorce

press the button and you have v-tec

1000 rpm v-tec launches if you want

Stay away from the Field's SFC VTEC controller if you have a D16Y8... apparently, the Field's uses a different way to alter the VTEC switchover and it puts the ECU in safe mode if you change the VTEC crossover point (this is what's happening to my EL right now). Go with the Apexi VAFC.

Think I could see your Teg some time Tony? I've never seen you around Toronto, but I've heard awsome things about your car, and I saw that video of your gauges. The car sounds amazing. I would love to see it in the flesh.

Hi, the d16y8 is a vtec motor.I got mine from a crashed acura el.
I want to get a vtec/afc controller for my car but I don't know if it will work with my ecu.I am using an adjustable shift light right now to activate vtec.I have the ecu for the y8 but it is obd2 and i would rather not use it.
Does anybody know a good fuel delivery set up for the y8.Its p&p
and has a stage 2 cam.I am using the stock si intake and injectors and it starves for fuel at high rpm.
Thanks
