After about 10 minutes of driving i keep getting a CEL and codes 22 as well as code 2.. 2 is the O2 sensor.. not a problem. i will have to change that..
but 22 is the Vtec oil pressure sensor.. now.. what i don't get is .. i looked at it and wiring is intact.. so i assume.. BUT if it was faulty i would expect the light to come on right as the engine is turned on..

i tried turning it off.. then on again and it went away for a couple minutes.. so i turned it off.. unplugged the sensor and started it.. right as it started the cel threw the code again.. but if it was faulty would it be the same as not being connected to realize its not working properly?

what could the problem be?

Your vtec sensor could be on it's last leg? I would check it via a multi meter and see what's up.

Could it be there isn't enough oil pressure to the VTEC switch? Just a thought....

It's the sensor.
My LUDE had the same problem...though mine was fixed under warranty.

is it normal for vtec to still engage.. even thuogh it has a cel and that is the problem?
