throttle body: at diff than mt?
 
i recently got an aftermarket throttle body for a d16y8 and i'm told it wont work because it's for an a/t not m/t. wich makes me ask two questions

is there any easy/proper remedy for this problem?
or,
am i being fed a line of bull?

any help?

there are manual and automatic trasmission type throttle bodys. It usually has to do with the addition of and extra plate on the throttle spring where the throttle cable attaches. An automatic throttle body has 2 plates, one for the throttle cable, and the other for the kick down cable that is linked to the transmission.

Auto throttle body will work on manual.......Manual will not work on auto.
