K I searched for info on this, Didn't find much on the forums what does it do exactly and is it worth it?

it increases air velocity which will yield more power.

going into a b16a stock otherwise

its for NA, maybe going on a SRI or CAI

Just get one. I prefer getting a filter with a built in velocity stack because then I know it's been designed to effectively work as one coherent unit.

I have an Apexi super filter that has a build in velocity stack. I just wash that and reuse it over and over.
