Valve Cover Off!
guys how do i take the valve cover of a 1.5L civic...im tinking unplug the wires from the sparks and the 4 bolts that are on it am i correcT??? am i missing something can some verify please and thanks!

take out the spark plugs, unscrew the bolts, and try to rock the valve cover to the left and right and pry it off.

or after you've removed the bolts, lightly tap it with a piece of 2x4 and lift off... sometimes the gasket gets sticky :)

true, but you do if you are doing a valve lash adj... if you are just painting your cover :rolleyes: you don't need to remove the plugs

I adjusted valve on a CX the other day at the shop after taking the head off, sending it to the machine shop. I re-installed it and then adjusted the lifters. All that with the sprak plugs in.

Rice Burner - yes that is doable... except when you do a valve lash in the car, you gotta turn the motor over to get to TDC of #1,3,4,2 so doing that you are fighting compression - remove the plugs and it makes it a lot easier.
