Vacume hose??
I need to know what function this part has (4392)and should it be attached to a vacume source(hose coming out of bottom)? I just got my car back from the shop after having a d16z6 installed and am curious as to why the hose in the pic is not hooked up to anything. The car starts and runs but is running extremly rich. Any input is greatly appreaciated

i think he meant the general area of the car ( the engine bay )
|
^^ correct. I can't even see where on the engine bay that is... so it's hard to tell. there is nothing clearly identifiable in the pic, except maybe the plug for a TPS sensor in the foreground??

well its on the firewall middle-passenger side...I would think that it should be connected to a vacuum source cuz if the map sensor aint hooked up its gonna run hood rich and ur gonna clog ur cat up in no time

Here's a couple of more pics. The old map sensor on the frirewall is inactive as I'm using the one on the throttlebody.

Purge Cut Off Selenoid Valve
Who the hell did that hack job ??? That hose used to supply fresh air into the intake manifold when the charcoal canister was purged. |
