the equation for braking starts with tires. then the pad and rotor as friction materials. then line pressure (as dictated by the master cylinder and brake booster). then the leverage the caliper has against the rotor, that being an equation of how far from the wheel center the caliper is located (ie. size of the rotor). then the heat dissipation ability of the rotor (and brake assembly).

for given pedal travel, you will be able to move more fluid and apply greater pressure to the calipers.

consequently you will get better stopping power, greater pedal modulation, and reduced pedal travel.

I went from a 13/16 to 15/16, and finally to a 1 inch. each time I noticed an improvement in pedal feel (but at the same time I was doing other brake mods too)

anyways, I say go for it.

I've always changed the m/c and BB as a unit. it's easy to tell, just look at some pics and see how yours is oriented on the BB.

KVR pads are good, but I'm not sure how hard they will be on the rotors, cuz you might cut down the life of the rotor, or it might be noisy or dusty or whatever.... try it out and see.... worse case scenario you'll hate them and change them in 6 mths.

in contrast....if you are not going fast...why do u need to stop fast. is a brake upgrade really worth with a stock engine....assuming your OEM setup works just fine.
