Unlevel car
I was looking at the gap between the top of my tire to the fender the other day.
I noticed that the driver side of the car has a smaller gap then the passenger side of the car. Both front and back. maybe a difference of 1 to 1.5 fingers. at first I thought it was the ground being uneven so I turned the car around and even then the same thing happened. Now I'm wondering if it's common for one side of the cars suspension to give out before the other side, as compared to front and back. Any idea what's wrong with it? |
Your engine weighs more than your tranny..

sagging
its called saging from the age....theres always a driver but not always a passenger, therefore the driver side suspension wears out faster the driver side always has a tilt problem with age...ive seen many cars with it

Re: Unlevel car
Originally posted by hatsu maybe a difference of 1 to 1.5 fingers. thats a noticeable difference. i would get it checked out and maybe there is a cracked coil or something if you hit something really hard, but you'd probably know anyway. ii cracked 2 coils before on my stock suspension, but it was a really hard hit and i knew what happened right away. to me i would look into it more rather than just leave it. and sure the engine weighs more than the tranny, but remember, its suspension. key word. it is mean to suspend. it should disperse weight rather evenly even with the slightest difference in weight. when you jump in the drivers side and sit, does your car crop 1- 1.5 fingers? nope. simple logic. |
sme problem
my car had the same problem, and i went to a gas station, check all my tires PSI and made sure they were all at almost 40 psi and it fixed my problem!!! no more shoulder lean or unleval car....driver side had like 50 psi and pass had like 30 lol rear pass was good and rear driver was at 20 lol
