type R springs with aftermarket shocks?
well heres the story, bought type r springs in November and i wanted to put them on my integra. unfortunately i ran into some problems with money and i never got a chance to do it till now cuz i got a new job. so now i want to also get after market shocks (koni yellows).
my question is, will Koni yellows and itr springs go together? also what is your opinion on my situation, and best overall solution.
Thanks
regards
David
btw my car is a 96 tegger LS.

The Konis would go well with any spring really, especially one that is very low. Yellows can handle a very low drop in most cases.
The ITR springs will be a bit stiffer then your stock springs, but they probably won't lower the car at all.
As for the LCAs, I'm not sure, but most Teg parts should be interchangeable.

I'm running ITR springs with Tokico Illuminas on my EG hatch. Love the ride. I'm set to fairly soft which for a DX hatch, is still alot stiffer.
ITR rear LCA do require different shocks, the ITR goes into the rear LCA where as all the rest of the Integras and Civics have a fork that goes over the LCA. Simple solution though, just order shocks for an ITR if you have the ITR rear LCA, otherwise you'd want shocks for GSR/LS/etc.

overkill thanks for the input, a friend of mine has tokikos on his teg and he just got new springs for it and he loves his ride. but my next question regarding suspension is are used suspension ok? i was told by a friend that used springs are ok, but are used shocks worth investing into?

depends on the price and condition of the shocks. I've sold shocks before with very minimal usage and i've seen some with high usage, all depends on whats out there.
If you can afford new, why not buy new. Of course obvious signs such as oil leaking, no rebound, etc mean stay away from the shocks and i'm sure there are many more signs too.
KYB AGX, Tokico Illumina & Koni Yellows should all work great, with my personal choice being that Illuminas and Yellows are the way to go

as overkill mentioned it all depends on the usage of the shocks. Tokico's use to come with a lifetime warranty, however I heard that they have changed it to a limited warranty now.
So do your research and you'll come out with the best results
