type r rear sway bar install

Just got a 23mm jdm type r rear sway bar which i plan to install this weekend in a dc2 chassis. My question is will this be a direct bolt on without the use of a mounting kit from bsq or another manufacturer? Im buying new endlink and sway bushings from Acura prior to install, will the OEM usdm bushing fit the bar properly or will they have to be modified? Ive also heard from tons of people i should buy a support brace to prevent chassis tearout, but dosnt the usdm/jdm itr share the exact same chassis mounting points as any dc2 coupe chassis? Any help would be appreciated

My answer would be yes. But I wouldn't mind call Honda and ask part number on DC2 subframe (say, GSR which uses 14mm) and that of a Type R and see if they are the same of different.

a non-type R DC2 chassis has a weaker rear Subframe, so yes, the 22 or 23mm sway bar will put stress on it or tear it it. we do have the ASR Braces in stock which reinforces the rear subframe.

yeah go with asr brace. only type r's came with thicker subframes. i've seen subframes rip with bsq or beaks kit so asr is the only way to go .
