Type R pistons into a GSR motor?

Does anyone know if Type R pistons will work in a GSR motor
if they will what kind of performance gains can be expected??
please answer with as much info as you can,
all information is valuable.

yes... performance depends on what other work is done. Leitner Performance has a lot of experience building engines, you should contact them.

I heard that you can get GSR engine with Type R camshaft and piston installed, it can perform very close to the C5 engine, and cost cheaper then C5.

I know bbarb just covered it, but I just had to say it again...

CTR pistons in a GSR motor would yield some crazy *** compression and running on 94 octane would probably require alot of retarding on the timing ITR would be less, and would probably yield numbers near a normal USDM ITR I'm guessing but I wouldn't trust me hahaha.

Have you checked out c-speeds CR calculator? It's good up to a certain extent, but for real experience, ask Steve at LP and or talk to T.O tegs who had a crazy setup a while back Those are probably your best resources IMO.
