Type-R caliper on cvivic rotor?! HELP

ok my car has type-r brakes in the front and gsr disc brakes in the rear but there is a special bracket to keep the 4x100 pattern.

anyhow im looking to get cross-drilled and slotted rotors and my question is will a stock civic 10.3" rotor be sufficient for my front type-r caliper? the rear size of civic discs is the same as the gsr rears but the front type-r rotor i have now is 11.1"

for me to get a 4x100 type-r front caliper i will have to have the caliper re-drilled, at least i think thats the only way to do it.

would anyone know if the type-r caliper will fit on the 10.3" civic rotor?

any help is appreciated, thank you.

I don't think it is a safe idea, as the contact area would be slightly different.

Redrill a Prelude 4*114 to 4*100 and you are good to go.

your not suppose to redrill your calipar but shave the calipar braket. Also you would have to use a 11" rotor of some kind to get the benifit of the type r brakes. Even though it has a bigger piston, if its not using most of its pad surface there really would not be any benifit from it. Check or something its been covered before.

i did the swap to my friend K20 eg. This is how u do it. U either get a prelude disc or a Accord disc 4x100 and u tell the machine shop to drill holes to match your 4x100. Then u bolt everything on perfect. U might need to grind the inside knuckle a little bit because it might rub to the rotor when u put the bracket on. Other than that everything is working like a charm. Good luck.
