if you know what you are doing and have the money go right ahead but seriously turbos r so hard to maintain once a month somethin will go wrong and if u dont know what you are doing your screwed thats why im not getting one but a turboed h22 would be sweet!

i test drove a turboed h22 once like a year ago and it was so fast i didn't even like it......there was absolutely no traction and when it finally got some it sucked u back in the seat and wouldn't let u even turn the wheel...lol...so much power:yummy:

h22 = puke
h22 wih turbo = passing out/dead

f22 = sex
f22 turbo = hardcore orgy

turbo is good if you do it right. Sleeve the bottom end, get forged pistons, a good turbo kit, some AEM or Hondata to tune it and have fun

i was thinking of turbo h22 too..
you should check out the prelude site... they got people with turbo-h22 in their prelude...

btw, turbo-ing any motor is possible, its just a matter of tuning and if you build the motor right... you can always lower the compression on the h22, work on the bottom, and get a good kit(like mentioned above) and get a good management system and add some good tuning...

the problem is maintenance issue (which holds me back to turbo ANYTHING), you just have to be very careful with your car in terms of inspecting it often, when problems uprise, you don't hesitate to look into it....

for example, if your car right now is over the oilchange KM by a few hundreds, sure no problem.. if you have turbo... you better do it early than late, and if you feel something wrong, you better have cash around to fix, you can't say i'll drive this for 1 more month before i fix it... another thing is... you often have to spend time to inspect the minor stuff that you don't need to on non-turbo... like inspecting the spark plugs, make sure the cooler is running good... no leaking or anything, the compression's firing right... blah blah blah... anything goes wrong, your turbo is gone... just a heads up... i've been researching about turbo for like a year... i was thinking of turbo my d-series, then i thought of swap instead.... coz i just dun have enough skills/time/money to play with turbo yet.... good luck! h22-t would be sweet... its gonna be damn fast on a civic!

t_dot_sir is right. If your going to boost look into it and be prepared to inspect it and take care of it. If you force induct it is best to know how your kit is set-up and how it works so that you are able to fix a minor problem such as a leak.

wut if im just boosting it for normal driving like less that 5psi..?...wut that wreck my engine still?

u should do some more research if u think that something will go wrong once a month if u have a turbo. most turbo setups are more reliable then u think.

each set-up is different.

Things can go wrong every week or things can never go wrong. It all depends. But, I do agree with you, with a good tune a F/I engine can be reliable.

^^^^agreed. But its a common misconception about turbo'd honda's. Hell, its what i used to think and what deterred me from boostin the d16z6 instead of going B-series. If you go cheap, especially on the engine management, then you could run into a lot of problems. Don't skimp on anything. You can tell if a turbo is on its way out if it has excessive shaft play.
But it definately sounds like bugoy_flip20 needs to do a lot more research before thinking about boostin his car....especially a H22

u can buld anything right for a turbo but most people wont just bolt on .. kinda cheesy if ya dont want to if your going to do a turbo make sure u do it right half ass will just get you in trouble
