Question Turbo Timer and Alarm ?

If you have an alarm installed with a ignition kill will it affect the use of a turbo timer? I haven't looked into the timers too much but I assume since it keeps your car running after you take out your keys that it wouldn't continue working once the alarm is on and the ignition is "killed". Can anyone confirm this? Bruno?

well, yeah... it's better to have an alarm with a starter kill. it's more common, you know?

you take away ignition, you take away it's ability to run.

IMO, it's better to have a starter kill or a deafener siren under the dash. Bottom line is you do not want this guy sticking his head under your dash and being comfortable with it. you wanna make him as uncomfortable as possible, and putting a 160 dB siren about 10 inches from his head is a good way to do it.

lol, where do I get these sirens? and as for wiring it, I'd wire it in parallel with the current siren right? And as for the original question, the turbo timer wont work when I arm the alarm right?

yeah, arming the alarm would shut the car off unless you do some special wiring.

deafener sirens can be bought anywhere... they are also known as backup sirens. Mount it in the space behind/under the radio, or under the dash if you have room. as for wiring, it should come with instructions.
