Turbo or Supercharger?
#2
It depends on what you're doing. If you are looking for nothing but more power for the street, a SC is good. I don't like SC's cause they are not very upgradeable (when compared to turbo), and there are too many detonation problems with the JRSC kits.

Are turbo and supercharger always on or is it like vtec and turns on only after a certain RPM?
BMW doesn't use turbo in their engines because they believe they are gas-guzzling and sluggish. So they have beefy engines with high compression even without turbo.

You will have some boost at 1/2 throttle, but if you are just daily driving, you won't get much (or any) boost. It feels just like normal.
