Turbo or Supercharger?

Well?

my preference would be a supercharger.....

It depends on what you're doing. If you are looking for nothing but more power for the street, a SC is good. I don't like SC's cause they are not very upgradeable (when compared to turbo), and there are too many detonation problems with the JRSC kits.

I agree. If I had to do it over again I would've went turbo. Lots more room to upgrade. More potential. But if you want all around drivability than a SC is good.

Are turbo and supercharger always on or is it like vtec and turns on only after a certain RPM?

BMW doesn't use turbo in their engines because they believe they are gas-guzzling and sluggish. So they have beefy engines with high compression even without turbo.

You will have some boost at 1/2 throttle, but if you are just daily driving, you won't get much (or any) boost. It feels just like normal.
