Turbo questions.

What are the different brand anmes of turbo's, and which ones are good? What would be good to put on a b16A in a 1990 crx? How much would it cost, and would I need to do any engine mods to strengthin anything? How much horsepower would it add?

This should do it...

Turbo Faq

You would be better with a non VTEC motor for Turbo purposes..

Go for a t3/t4 from turbonetics with a ball-bearing centere section.

Get it with specs something like a 46 trim compressor wheel with a .50 housing and a 76 trim turbine with a .63 housing. Nice and streetable, you will feel it kick in at about 2500rpm and will be flying by the time you hit 4500rpm. It's nice to feel you head hit the headrest as the boost flys up. I never needed a headrest until I had a turbo...

That would be good for about 300 horses, if you push it to its max. But the stock Honda block, rods, rings, pistons, will never take that. I wouldn't go over 10psi without upgrading those internals.

YOu sound like a beginner. In that case, you should get a kit instead of building your own system. I'll list some good manufacturers that have a turbo kit for the B16 in order of....Quality.

RevHard FMAX
Greddy
Drag

Go with either RevHard or FMAX. FMAX actually make kits for CRX with engine transplants.
