Turbo and Gas Mileage
Ok, I know there are a lot of variables to this question. But I want to know what kind of gas mileage people get from their D series turbo set-up.
If you can I would specifically like to know what kind of mileage people are getting from LS – Turbo set ups as well Why do I ask…because I can afford to do it, but can I afford to drive it… |
turbo d16z6 - 375-475 a tank depending on driving.
|
aren't you the same guy that can't get his fuel filter off?
God help you for ever going turbo... lol |

CTD - 850-1100km per tank! :)
|
what the flip is CTD?
|
sounds like Civic Turbo Diesel
|
400 hwy, about 300 city - but the car is not tuned yet. mileage should be the same as stock when the car is well tuned (given that you drive it like stock)

Originally posted by Moe_Mentum sounds like Civic Turbo Diesel But as for a civic turbo, you'll get anywhere from 200-600km's on a tank depending on how you drive it. If you don't hit boost at all, you'll get just as good as stock fuel economy. But if you boost it everytime you accelerate, you're economy's gonna suck! |
dont they boost no matter what?
haha i knew civic turbo diesel sounded a little too sketchy |
depends on tuning too.
on the highway (no boost) i pullled down better mileage then stock. but avg daily driving with some boost runs, if tuned properly youll see stock like figures. |

for the record there is a civic turbo diesel in europe
"And it wasn’t just the hybrid faction being fast and loose with the facts. Both petrol and diesel powered cars were being economical with the truth, but not the fuel. Cars which failed to live up to manufacturers claims by more than 20 per cent included the BMW 330D, Audi A2, Honda Jazz, Mercedes A class, and the Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX. Failures by more than 25 per cent included the Peugeot 307, Nissan Primera, and Honda Civic CTD. The Renault Clio 1.5dCi, and the Renault Espace 2.2 dsl failed by more than 30 per cent. " |
