truer words have never been spoken.....

2 rice 4 u I seriously think a project like this would be too much for you but if you want to do it I'd suggest a already designed system like a greddy or something...

and if you want proof of Bruno's words PM me for the parking lot I'll be in ... take my challenge in my signature.

and if you say ... "ohhh I don't want to damage my car" then you don't need a turbo which if not done right will make your engine go boom

wow my name got mentioned tons....(see discription of post *****)

also you don't know speed and fun till you circle a parking lot and switch from 1g lateral force on the right side to 1 g lateral force on the left in a split second....

like I've said you want to autoX (solo 2) see the competition forum I post up the events there.

also you can't knock autoX as being slow and not fun till you try it ... get one of the very experienced dudes to take you out and I garentee a perma smile when you hit the stop box and learn what seat belts where meant for....

AutoX is like rideing all the worlds rollarcoasters at the same time and being in full control and not just along for a ride...

also if you want speed I'd suggest displacement.

exactly my point...

2 rice 4 u would spend another $10K on this car before he realizes he should have started with something better to begin with. We all do this, but him being as young as he is, it would be a mistake not to tell him what he's getting involved in. It's like giving a highschool student crack... it's just wrong!

Well.. If I could do anything to my civic I would be happy.. its just a stock DX Coupe, puttin out an amazing 102hp max with 98ft/lb torque, this car can hardly make it up hills sometimes. But the fact is, it gets me to school which is in Barrie, and I live 40 minutes north of there. Once I'm done school, I wanna get an '88 or '89 crx and have that as a nice car and make it a bit nicer. Until then my bank account is a huge negative number due to school.

I know, I've made my choice and i'm not going to do it. I'm just going to do the repairs that I need to do and then i'm going to save a little bit of money up (couple grand) and buy an audi.

a guy steve and I know has a bodykitted 1.8T audi, it has a bunch of mods and he hasnt had anyh signifficant problems with it, so far.

I know the tranny's are garbage, but it seems like an ok ride.

Why, what is really wrong with those cars?

never said 1.8Ts can't handle mods... it's everything else... like you said, tranny for one, power windows ($$$ fix), electrical fires , and they get punked off quite a bit too... but I find electrical **** the most annoying and difficult to fix... solid chassis though, decent motor - not bad, but certainly not great. In a heavy *** car like the audi, I'd like a little more displacement AND a little bigger turbo. That 1.8T turbo is laughably small...

honestly, I've found the TDI models to be fascinating as of late... ya, they got problems... but they are soooo much fun to boost the crap out of. And best of all, you need only two things... 1. injectors and 2. boost... no spark or any of that ****. chip it and upgrade injectors!!! it's fookin great! So if you wanna be quick, be different, and pay next to nothing at the pump - TDIs are a blessing. They do stink pretty bad in the wintertime
