well hondata is basically just like crome, but you have to pay for hondata and still get your ecu chipped. Any extra features, like boost are an additional cost with hondata.

With crome, you just need a chipped ecu, the tuner will make the custom program in crome and burn it to a chip (just like hondata, but you don't have to pay for crome).
I've been using cromepro for a while now and must say its a great alternative to other expensive engine managements like hondata/greddy emanage/AEM EMS/motec and is much better than just a vafc/safc. And its quite capable of running high whp boosted setups very well. B/c it maintains the use of the factory ecu/sensors so it has an IAT (intake air temperature) and ECT (engine coolant temperature) compensation to get the car dialed in really well at all different conditions....this is why i suggest street tuning, if you're going to drive it on the street all of the time, no better way to simulate that, than actually driving it on the street. Then go to the dyno for an hour or two for some fine tuning to extract the max whp/tq.

just find out about your tuners backround.. Like if the highest whp they have tuned is like 290 or something on a B series, then chances are they dont have much experience (unless all they do is NA) but otherwise, you will be basically paying them to learn on your setup.. not a good idea.

I dont know, but if i had a 5-600whp honda i wanted tuned on race for the track i wouldnt take it to someone who hadnt tuned many similar in the past.

Experience Owns!

^^^good advice.

But the sad part is that there are LOTS of shops out there that will let you pay them to learn on your car.....but tell you that they've done it (what you want done) before.
