this transmission swap I did
ok as some of you know I did a transmission swap on saturday (or completed it then after 12 hours of work)
so 22 hours to remove the old transmission and place a new one in..(no excuses here 1 I should have had the car higher so that I'd fit under on my rolling lie on thingy would have made it a billion times faster....and 2 I work slowly) now I have an issue I need help with... my reverse lights don't work... I figure it's the sensor.. now since the transmissions are the same can I remove the old sensor in the old transmission and place it in the new transmission? or do I need to get a brand spanking new sensor? |
just replace it
or check to see if the harness is messed up or not connected 100% |
Just swap the sensor over if the one on the old tranny is still good (that's if the tranny you put in is the same, eg 5th gen stock tranny)
|
ok cool just wanted to make sure by removing the good sensor there's nothing thats delicate on the sensor that I could distory by removing it.... thanks guys..
