any recommendation about which one would be more stable in low temp?
i notice rough shifting in the winter
should i use redline MTL? or maybe motul is better?

Well Honda MTF is $7 a liter! and you can buy 4 liters of Castrol tranny oil for like $10 !!
Thats what I did. Changed the oil last week, and I used castrol. Feels just like before though... Well the old oil was clean... So I donno...
Anyways I thought I let you know there are alternatives too.

Si Veloz, I think Penzoil makes that shyt
Gatsby, Honda is the only company that does NOT use regular tranny/gear oil. We HAVE to use Honda MTF, or the alternative is 10W30 motor oil (conventional, NOT synth) if Honda MTF is unavailable. Putting in heavy gear oil like 80W90 like what most other transmissions use is disaster for our trannies. True, GM synchromesh can be substituted, but only if your tranny is already on it's way out.

ya, I have heard only to use the GM syncromesh if your having trouble with your syncros, have it heard it works really well sometimes, and not soo much other times,.....Honda used to recomend 5w30, but I think on newer models it recomends honda MTF, I think it also is desgined to work better with older transmisions (or so I have been told).....
