Exclamation Transmission Help...

I drive a 1993 Civic Si hachback
I just got a brand new clutch put in, about 6 months ago.
About a couple of weeks ago I noticed a grinding noise everytime I shift in 3rd gear.

I'm wondering if this could be related to my clutch? After all my clutch is brand new

I need advice on what to do, thanks

Most likely it's because the syncros in the transmission are starting to go.

Civics and integras are notorious for 3rd gear grinding.

Try this.

Before shifting into third gear, go to neutral, release the clutch out, push the clutch in then go into third.. There should be no grind.

Or ease it into gear.. Like don't just shift instantly, shift slower as you go into 3rd.

My old integra had a 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear grind! I learnt all the technics to avoid grinding.. I've had like 3 civics with that damn 3rd gear grind!

You can drive like that for a long time, only thing is it's annoying.
