Tranny Issues

Ok I just took my car to honda for the 96K check up (OMG $400 for an oil change) Anyway they checked my tranny and they said some of my bearings are shot. Luck has it this is covered under my warranty! They are going to replace all of the bearings and oil seals WOHOO!

Question here is since they have to pull apart my tranny should I be having these guys do anything else at the same time??? Or is it a waist since Honda may charge me big time???

P.S. its a '98 SI SOHC, 5spd

change your clutch maybe...

make sure your synchros are good

install a magnetic drain plug for your tranny fluid.

nothing crazy

I was thinking of a new clutch for sure... and the drain plug is one I never gave thought too. I will tell Honda to look at the synchros. Do you know if synchros are warranty covered?

Thanks man I appriciate it.
