im planning to do a tranny swap these days and i noticed the letters on the two trannys are different

theyre both d series trannys with hydrolic assembly

one tranny says

Y4F ***
the other tranny says
P5Y ***

do these numbers and letters mean anything?

I searched both the 96-98 and 92-95 manuals and nothing about E5F P4A <<< that code... I suppose it might be a 99-00 tranny maybe or something Japanese??
