Which tranny fluid is best for my B20 LSD?
I would like to try something other than Honda. Money isn't a major cost.
I went to GM and the guy said they have 4 flavours of Syncromesh... which one?
Anyone stock Royal Purple in GTA - Scarborough?

(Note: I have revised this post after talking to our technical services department. I don't want to give you guys a bum steer. - Cam )
I often pm folks, so it doesn't look like I'm just trying to jump on every post about fluids. But you asked for it, so here's my recommendation.
This is what you need from Amsoil for ALL Honda manual transmissions THAT REQUIRE MTF... Replaces Honda Genuine MTF fluid.
AMSOIL Synthetic Synchromesh Transmission Fluid 5W-30
http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mtf.aspx
Your Cost $91.80 per case of 12 quarts / Retail $119.40
DO NOT USE MTF IF YOUR TRANSMISSION TAKES MOTOR OIL.
Check the Online Application Guide for your vehicle here ...
http://www.amsoil.com/scripts/runisa...msoiloaf:index to see what is recommended for your vehicle.

So, this is a direct "Replacement" to Honda MTF only applications?
Where can I pick some up in the mississauga area?

Yes, this is a direct replacement for Genuine Honda MTF. But also replaces many others. Take a look at the link in my post above (the link right above the picture) for more product information, and it tells you about all the specs.
All the details of how to order at Dealer Cost (Wholesale Price) are in the link below my signature. Take a look at Option #2 ... but, in a nutshell...
Here's how it works...
- let me know exactly what you want, and whether you would pick it up at the Distribution Center, or want it delivered-
- I'll quote you the price for everything
- if you're good with that, give me you name ... address... daytime phone ... regular email address
- if you're paying by MC/Visa give me your card number, expiry date, name as it appears on the card, and billing address if different from your home address
- if you want to pay by Email Money Transfer, just send the funds to me at sales@carst.ca
- I'll place the order and confirm the order number to you
- If it's being delivered, it usually takes about 3 business days
- If you are picking it up yourself, you just need to give them your name, and the order number. You can pick it up as early as the day I place the order, but must be picked up within 5 business days.
It's really pretty simple and quick.
The Amsoil Distribution Center is located right in Mississauga.
Hope this helps you out.

So, here's my thinking guys and gals....
If you are happy with what you are using, and that's what spins your spurs, then stay with it. Honda obviously makes quality products to begin with, and I wouldn't suspect that items like oil, would be any less than a quality "Honda" standard. Don't forget though, that Honda probably does not munufacture it's own MTF. It's made by an oil company. (Somebody feel free to correct me if they know otherwise.) Using words like "use only genuine honda ...." is just good marketing, and increases the overall profitability of the enterprize. It's not magic in a bottle. If everyone just used OEM stuff in, and on, their Civic, we'd all be driving stock Civics, and would have very little to discuss on this forum.
If you are looking for something different, then seriously consider the benefit of Amsoil MTF. Here's why ....
You are getting a superior lubricant, giving you greater performance and protection advantages, at least a 60% longer service life, and all at a price that is as much as 20% below the retail price of the OEM product.
What's not to like?
This Data Bulletin gives greater detail.
