I changed mine with honda mtf. I got it from honda and it costed about $6L and you will need just about two, but get three to be safe. When looking up at the tranny theres a bolt on the gear box, and a 3/8" ratchet will fit right in. Thats your drain plug. Now take your passenger tire off and right behind the brakes there will another bolt where the ratchet will fit in. Thats your fill hole. Make sure you take off your fill bolt first because if you first drain your fluid and realize your fill bolt is stripped or seized your screwed. When filling the gear box, just keep filling it till it starts to come out, but make sure your car is relatively level. Good luck and btw this was on a d16y7 which is different than your car but same concept.

Strange...i have a d16y7, and my filler hole is just above the drain same area anyway... right behind the inner cv joint...where it enters the tranny, i dint have to remove my wheel, but I did have to use a funnle and hose set up to get the new mtf down into the tranaxle filler hole, through the top of the engine bay,...it worked And my filler plugg needed a wrench, it wasnt a wratchet socket like the drain plugg ... but im sure it varys from year to year...donno...

oh and as far as fluid goes...go to honda and buy their stuff honda mtf...Ive heard storys of guys using other stuff and ended up with slugish shifting and grinding gears... sounds dumb, cuz oils, oil right? but apparently not, I read a test artical about it (not Honda) and they say that the honda stuff worked best, and produced the best shifting...

One other thing I sugest, would be to spend 15 bucks on a Haynes manual from canadian tire, it will show you pics and give exact instructions; not that changeing mtf is a tough job, but if you plan on other DIY projects it will be very handy!!

good luck
