ok soo i need too know which fluid too put into my tranny someone told me use just plain motor oil 5w30 thats supposedly same thing they sell you at honda but a guy at part source told me use gear oil castro sycromesh 80w90 and another friend said only use the stuff from honda
by the way its for a jdm zc from a crx...

ok well here is the 2 items i bought soo far i can return one or both...i have 2 bottles of each...just not sure which too go with...
Castrol HYPOY C 80W-90 gear oil
or
Valvoline 5W-30 motor oil...
or
anyother suggestions?

i think they are 5-10 per quart and i beleive you will need 2 and a bit so 3 in total....you should just return both those products....the gear oil for sure is useless.
A transmission is not something you should be trying to cheap out on because its an expensive part which requires a lot of labour to replace. Go to honda and get the right stuff then you can not go wrong
As for the syncromesh it is aproximatly the same price and you can buy it at a GM dealership....if your tranny has been working fine i do not see any reason to use this over the honda stuff. Some people switch over to the syncromesh if they are experiancing slight grinds and it will sometimes stop those slight grinds.

ok went and got the stuff from honda now next problem is how do i put it in iv been told thew the bottom but i need a pump and with my luck partsource and crappy tire are fresh out...great...any other way??? (besides pulling out my drive shaft cuz thats a *****)

There are 2 bolts on the tranny on the passenger side on the engine. The lower which is a 1/2 rachet is the drain and the upper hole which is 19mm I think is the fill. Drain out the old stuff abd use a funnel and a tube about 12" long to fill it from above. It should take around 2 bottles.
