Hey all, I'm kinda new to Honda's so any info would help.
There are a couple trannies on here for sale, one is from a 90 dx and the other is an Si. I have a 90 civ hatch with the d15, I am wondering if there would be an advantage to using the Si.
The car is mostly for highway driving but I am thinking of swapping motors in the future to a B18 or a zc.

if you want swap in the si gears then use the DX 5th gear for nice hwy cruisin

but you willnotice a diff in accel. with an Si tranny

That sounds sweet, so I would buy the Si tranny and use the 5th from my current tranny?(which is a dx or std.)

then you get resonable acceleration and good highway but if you are serious about tracking it, the 5th will mess you up because its alot longer than the rest of the gears.
if i was you i would just put the si in and forget it. there is alot of hastle to change gears in and outta trannies properly

Yeah US si is fine for hwy driving. you got a jap, throw that 5 gear in the scrap, B16 especially
