hey people anybody know how to tell the difference between an si tranny and dx tranny. the tranny is for an ef civic. i have one and it has this serial # L3-2094507

Si tranny's
PL3/1000
PL3/9000
PL3/3000

DX tranny
PL3/A100
PL3/A300
PL3/A900

PL3/3000, PL3/A000 have nothing to do with the gears that are inside - these are casting numbers for the back half of the L3 case - the 3000, 9000, etc. have the large differential bearings - the A000, A100, etc. have the small differential bearings - since most Si's have the large bearings, most with 3000, 9000, etc. will be Si, but not all
