TPS Broken, , nOw what?

TPS Broken, , nOw what?

The throttle position sensor is broken on the b16a, cant plug anything into it, so i have to replace is, Where can i get a replacemnt part ? And from what car would be best?ANd roughly how much$$ Should i be expecting to pay for it?

you mean the plug is broken?? or the TPS doesn't work.
AFAIK, the TPS is part of the throttle body and cannot be replaced separately. If just the plug is broken, it'd be cheaper to solder wires directly to the pins on the TPS and seal the whole thing with epoxy. test the TPS by turning the throttle plate while measuring resistance on the pins.

D16Z6 intake manifold 50$ and throttle body 40$ <--- revitup's post in classifieds... d and b series throttle bodies are interchangable! also, H22 throttle body fits. dunno if it plugs right in, but it's worth a shot.

go to a wreckers and pick up a tps...you can grab a tps seperate...but honda only sells the complete TB and tps sensor from what I've heard...but as stated check resistance on the sensor...when you move the throttle the resistance you change...

it's not in the car boostd, so there is no voltage... he has to measure resistance

Ill do that today, Its just the plug thats broken, It should work if i solder to it. THanks guys.

I found a place in the yellow pages.. i am not sure if i am allowed to post the # or not , so pm me.. anyhow , they have the TPS for $90.00 (new)
