tps
hey guys
i have a 2000 civic sir and was wondering if the throttle position sensor can come off and be replaced if so how do i take it off? it looks like 2 bolts holding in place but there are 2 white plastic things on top covering the head. someone said i might have to change the full throttle body to replace the tps??? thanks |
or you could take the trottle body off and drill out the rivets (most USDM TPS's are rivetted on) to get the old one off, then get some screws/bolts that will fit to hold the new TPS on. The only thing is that you can't buy just the TPS sensor from honda, you can only get a whole new throttle body, so you'll have to find a used TPS, and make sure to calibrate it properly when installing the new/used TPS sensor.
Overall, its a fairly simple job to do. |
Omni Power sells just the TPS.
Look on Honda-Tech or ebay |
cool thanks
how would i calibrate it? |
by adjusting it on the car. To get them off i usually put a groove in the rivet and spin them off with a screw driver.
I will gladly setup your tps for you at a great price |
