Definitely Snake oil.....

Its more of a restriction in the intake than a performance part.

C'mon haven't we done this before?? This tornado has been talked about at least 3 separate times on this board.... PULOVR always points out the danger of one of the fins breaking and getting sucked into your engine.... then gatherer comes in and says - "good post +1" j/k Jay, and then Punk in Drublic comes in and says "oh wow, post whoring thread +1" and then I'll say some **** about volumetric efficiency and filling a 1.6L motor with as much air as you can, and this thing can't help... even if it does create a swirly effect like it says, and it "funnels" air into the throttle body.... well you ever looked at the shape of the throttle body?? It's a round plate that lifts and acts like a huge blade.... now picture this ghay swirly air hitting an opening with a 64mm (or whatever size TB you have) flat blade.... any swirly action will be stopped dead! Let us all remind ourselves again that manufacturers spend hundreds of thousands designing our intakes to sound, perform, and flow JUST right... if they could get more fuel economy - well, let's just say overseas where gas is like $4/liter, fuel economy matters and it sells cars. If this device worked, every manufacturer would stick it in their car (or something like it).

LOL
So very true... My name is Jay too so +1

But anyway, my buddy has one of these for his Camaro. He works for NAPA and told me its "proven to add HP and increase fuel economy". Since he's installed it hes said nothing of it. Save your money, it's a joke if you ask me.

LMAO

ok seriously bbarbulo has it right ... but it does save fuel.... (I foresee posts about this) and here's how it does it...

BY RESTRICTING AIR FLOW! if you reduce the O2 getting past the TB you reduce the amount of Fuel the ECU will pump in

well less fuel and less Air = less power (which is completely correct)

well the ad claims to improve HP how does that work, ohhh god of showing that they are not using false advertising?

well to answer that is simple like I said there's less air going in... well when I step on it the ECU increases the amount of fuel being sent to the combustion chambers. sicne it's expecting a certian amount of air and doesn't get it all it creates an over stock richening of the air/fuel mixture. the result is a bit more power..

now do you really want a fin breaking off and damaging your car?
