Torn Tire Side Wall

Sorry I couldn't make the Pacific Mall meet, but I had tire issues.

During an oil change (Petro Canada Synthetic oil 2L for $12)
I noticed the whole inside side wall of my passenger front tire was cracked to bits!!! There was also the beginning of cracking showing on the front driver side tire.

I talked to a service guy who said the damage was from tire abuse...

BUT I have/had 205-40 R16 Toyo Proxes ZR on the car and these tires are less than a year old, and not used during the winter...

Hmmmmm

Toyo Proxes have a very good warrenty...take those tires to any Toyo Dealer and they will give you a great deal on new tires. Basically, the way they do it is they take you tread depth and access the wear of your tires. They then subtract that 'value' of that wear from a new tire and you pay the difference...you get it.

I have a Proxe blow on me (inside wall) and it was replaced for 50 dollars...and this was a 205 40r17. When I had it warrentied the tire guy said it is common for Proxes...

Hope this helps.

Proxes are great tires to drive on...

I'm just wondering if my inflation was okay, maybe the tires were too cold and I did some heavy driving, maybe I hit a bump or road obstacle too hard...

I would definately buy toyos again
