i just had the check engine light on today, could be the extreme weather

but anyways, first thing i did was check my oil levels and gas cap

well i noticed my gas tank might be under too much pressure, i know theres is suppose to be a little bit of pressure, currently my tank is half full and whenever i go get gas and release the cap, i get the hissing sound for like 2-3 seconds and a heavy smell of gasoline.

is my tanks under too much pressure, what could be the problem

any suggestions for the check engine light

every car i have ever had hisses when you take the cap off. why are you worried?

You can't assume there's too much pressure. You need to physically test teh pressure off the fuel line.

It's probably all in your head.
