Tires for Rims

HI, I'm planning to get 17 inch rims for my civic, what kind of tire should i get?
Also, how much can i lower it so I can still drive it in the winter with my factory tires?

thanks

Money talks...Do you want good quality tires - Falken, Pirelli or Yokohama...
Decent tires - Kumho, Toyo, Bridgestone and BFGoodrich...
IMO 1.5- 1.8 inch drop at front...2.0 - 2.2 inch at back...
What size of tires you'll be driving in winter time anyways?
Good luck dude

Hold on a minute, dont drop the car more in the back than the front , its the total opposite, drop about 2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear, dont forget about the weight in the trunk and carrying passengers in the back seats

I am running 205 40 17 on mine. It is lowered on H&R sport springs about a 1.8-2" drop and Mine don't rub and no other problems.

i had 17x7 with 205/40/17 i could only lower about 2 inches and they would rub anything after that. 2 inches in the front and an 1 and a half looks sick anyways. the 17s fill up your whole wheel well
