but if you go to discount tire co in the US, price is pretty close to tire rack, and everything is installed.... and you're set. no shipping, no duty, no tax...

Yeah that's if he's willing to go to the U.S. and cross back over.

Really good idea though. Maybe this is what I should do for my next set of tires. Have you done this before??

whats the correct size for 16' rims tires on a 89 sedan?
205/45/16? or 205/40/16?

I think 205/45/16, but I could be wrong. Just use one of those tire calculators.

there wont be much difference between 205/45/16 and 205/40/16. So I would just go with the 205/45/16, for a little thicker profile.

thicker profile but it meets the OEM spec tire and rim size which is aprox. 23.6 inches (somebody correct me) but 205/40/r16 is 1 inch smaller, which messes up ur speedo by about 11km. And 205/45/r16 is like 2 mm bigger which is not noticeable. to answer ur question
