Tire Size
Will 185/70R14 fit on a 97 EK hatch? The rims are 4X100 so I know that is correct. But will the tire fit?

what is stock size, you want to remain within +/- 4%.
http://www.net-comber.com/tirecalc.html type in your stock size, then the size you want to run, look at the overall diametre and if they are the same or very close (within +/- 4%) then your good to go |
your ek hatch stock size should be 185/65/14, 185/70/14 will work out fine (unless your car is dropped lime no tomorrow, but even with a small drop it'll be no problem).

Alright, I went to that site and the overall wheel diameter is 0.73" larger than the stock overal wheel diameter. Stock wheel diameter is 23.47" and these will be 24.2". Should that pose a problem at all or will I be good to go? Thanks for the input.

with -/+ 4% is good, so that means within 1" your good to go, so yup, your good to go then
22.50" to 24.44" MAX is within 4% of stock 23.5", but you want to be as close to stock as possible obviously. |
Alright, thanks man. Yeah, I kept these rims and tires from my other car. They are just for winters so it should be ok. They were off a Mazda MX-3.

Thanks for the help they, so by the sounds if it I shouldn't have any problems. :D
