Tire Size
I was just wondering what tire size i should get for a civic 99 sir on sir rims so that when i lower it 1.5" it wont rub against the fender..? Someone told me 205 50 15 should be ok but im just making sure cuz im planning on buying new tires.

That'll be fine.

205 50 15 are the best nice handle characteristics and off the line grip as well.

I have 205 50 15 on my 99 SiR, and lowered 2.25".
No rubbing issues at all. |
205 or 195 will do fine.

thought so..thanks :)

195-55-15 (the oem size) will be better in terms of handling/cornering while 205-50-15 will give you more grip due to the wider footprint
|
195 will be more square on a 6.5 wheel than a 205. The tires will flex a bit less.
If you are not competing or anything, I would use 195, less weight, better on fuel anyway. |
/45/ FTW! 50 should be fine

Yeah, I`m picking up 195.50.15 very soon for my SIR wheels.
|
how about going from 195.55.15 to 195.60.15 or 195.65.15? it's on my 2k 4d and it is not lowered. i know for sure 60 will not rub but not sure about 65. how would it affect my ride from 55 to 60 or 65?
