tire sidewall

hey guys,

I just got new tires like 1 and a half months ago and today when i was looking at the tires, i noticed that three of them had a "crack" in the sidewall of the tire. The cracks run in the same direction as the tire (i.e follows the circumferential direction.

By the looks of it, the cracks are about 2mm deep and the length of the cracks are like 2-3 inches. Other areas of the tire (along similar areas of the wall appear to see signs of future cracking --- see a line begining to develop).

IS THIS NORMAL??????? Or am i screwed?

The tires are 205/40/17 and the car is a lowered on H&R sports (car was lowered about 1 month ago and alignment has not been done yet)

I hope that was sufficient info. Can anyone tell me what i should do?? I the tire at risk of bursting/blowing out?

any advice would be great. thanks a lot.

i think you should take them back to where you bought them from and have them take a look at it. you may get a warranty out of it and get them all replaced.

you've checked your tire pressure rite? sounds like it could have been caused by low pressure??

anyways, good luck with that dood!

i was thinking of taking it back to the place to see what they have to say but i m not sure whether or not they will try to "blame" the tire damage on the lowering?

has f-all to do with lowering, unless your camber is totally out to lunch..
provided the air is up all be good on your part..

are they all the same air pressure??
odd only 3 of 4 are splitting

get pics and then take 'em in

i dont think that the camber is bad considering the car is only lowered on H&R sports and i did the rear washer trick. On visual inspection, i dont notice any negative camber (although visual can only take you so far).
