tire and exhaust question
 

one of my tires keep losing pressure (takes about 2 days for the tire to go from 35psi to like 10-15psi). I have looked at the tire on the exterior and havent seen any nails or things like that. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?



2nd ques
i need to redo the hangers for my exhaust (just the muffler part). Anyone know how much that should cost and can you recommend a decent shop to do it based on your own experience?

Take the wheel off your car, and inspect it for any punctures. If it keeps decreasing that much psi in a few days, theres gotta be a leak of some sort.

Oh, and are the tires worn down completely?

Check the pressure in the other tires as well, make sure there the same.

Or perhap air is just leaking through the edge of the rims. Go to a shop..get the tire removed, clean the rim and inside of the tire, and get it rebalanced. On rare occasions..dirt or grass can get stuck in there and really mess up your nice air-tight seal.

find a spray bottle put dishwashing liquid and water. spray the tire,where you see bubbles is where its leaking :)

in the winter add windshield washer fluid so the water doesnt freeze.
shouldnt cost to much to hang the muffler,but installation is where they get you. If you live in the westend try Zoro muffler on dundas west of dixie by canadian tire, or hotrod scotts on kipling south of bloor

also don't forget to check around the valve; take the cap off the valve stem too and spray soapy water around there

If u have aluminium rims most likely is the rim that needs to be cleaned. It could be your valve stem too. Just use water and u will see it. U can use soap and water, but most of the time water is very visible already to check for a leak. Put the rim on the ground and put some water near the weights. That's normally where it leaks. Check for small nails or sharp object. Just take it to the shop to do it. They will charge u around $10-$30 depending on the shop. If u want to do muffler i'd suggest to go speedy muffler shop. They do a lot of mufflers everyday and they are pro at it.
