Should be around 100,000 +, do you have the owner's manual? It should tell you in there.

I have it in the glove compartment of my car, which is in the garage getting fixed. Just wondering if anyone knew off hand, so that I might as well get it done since its there. My car is currently at 140000km just for background info.

its 165k for 98+ civics. Honda changed the material in timing belts after the 97 model year, and extended the service interval.

you are still ok

If that is the case, then no need like he says. Generally it use to be 100 000 k.

164K

but if you have 140K you might as well do it now. No harm in doing it a bit early.

I have a 98 and my manual says 100K for severe service, which is Canada. So all Canadians should do 100K timing belt changes.

after 96 timing belts were every 160K.

However under severe services (which is canadian climate), it should be 100K.
