timing belt

im going to replace my timing belt next week. i havent changed it since i bought my motor 3 weeks ago. just wondering if anyone recommends a brand of belt and some place i can get it done for a reasonable price? any help would be great!

u should of changed it before you put your motor in..crank pulleys are pain in the ****..

OEM belt and you might as well change your water pump while your in there.

I can get you your TB and w/p from honda if you want for under list

canadian tire carries all aftermarket replica junk.. if you want to, sure go ahead, but nothing beats OEM Honda.

ill buy it from honda, i always but oem now if i can, i know from experience its better then aftermarket crap. im just wondering for install purpose. wheres a good shop or mechanic that can do it for cheap?

chris i am getting mine done like next week TB change, and all the oil changes etc. u recomend changing W/P why is that?

oh btw my mechanic told me that it will cost me around 400 bucjs for everything TB change, all the oils (every single oil change fluched out etc), labour etc, is that reasonable price?

because once you are in there changing the belt, the water pump is easy to change, they are recommended to be changed at the same intervals too.. so might as well.

$400 isn't bad.. but I'm sure you can find it cheaper

Leading Edge is on our affiliates page, they have done a couple timing belt changes for members. Also Defcon, Altech, ect. Give the shopa a call.

You could just buy a Greddy kevlar timing belt and never worry about it again. My friend had one on his DSM for 3 years before he sold the car. If you know anything about dsm's, they're notorious for snapping timing belts.

$400 is a good price, i remember my mechanic quote me $350-400 to change timing belt + water pump
