Timing Belt = Noise?

Just recently replaced my Timing Belt & Water Pump, and I'm noticing a very small noise coming from the timing belt.

I was advised that because it's a new belt, that it may take some time before the noise stops, I've driven atleast 400 KM's on it, and still no improvement.

I get a very subtle sound coming from it, and it's only when I'm in gear, or accelerating.

Any ideas / tips / suggestions would be appreciated.

I've installed lots of new timing belts without any noise.

^yup..

there is no break in noise for belts lol. But the noise could be something else that was related to the install.

Since I got my Water Pump & Timing Belt replaced, that sound started, it almost sounds like a very light screeching noise, almost subtle, you can barely hear it, but as an owner I can clearly hear it once I'm sitting in and in gear, never in neutral.

Thanks for your input so far!

The belt is tight, just bring the carback and have them loosen off the tension. I know the noise and its just tight

Thanks Scott, and your guess is correct, as what I had assumed.

So it will be back in the shop this week

could be tensioner bearing no good, the timing belt cover not on properly causing it to rub against the belt,
