|
hey thx again ive got 91 in her and im going to do it now any last tips?
thx |
oh yes ive got a after market pulley on ,,am i screwed?
thx |
there should be at least 2 timing marks on that aftermarket pulley, TDC and 16 BTDC....there there isn't...than ya, you're pretty much screwed, unless you switch it out for a pulley with marks, or you are doin it on a h22 b/c it uses marks on the flywheel.
|
darn i think im screwed,,,,.
|
just take off your aftermarket pulley and mark the timing marks the same as a stock pulley.. its not rocket science. hondas dont have to be to the exact degree.. i believe they allow 2-4 degree difference or something? 14-18 deg? I think thats what I read.. or maybe it was 14-16, i foget. But when you mark the marks, try to be as precise as possible

OR get a datalogger....

WELL DID SOME ADJUSTINT TO THE DIZZY,,AND MOVED IT BOTH WAYS QUTE A BIT WITH TEEST RUNS INBETWEEN. NO PINGING AND SEEMED A LITTLE MORE PONYS WHEN I TURNED IT TO THE RIGHT,,WHEN LOOKING AT IT FROM THE PASSENGR SIDE. THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS FLASHING CODES SO I KNOW I JUMPED IT RIGHT ,BUT I GOTTA SAY I WAS HOPING 4 MORE. OH WELL ANY HINTS OR TIPS? THX
|
OH YA HOW COME THAT 2 WIRES I JUPED DONT PLUG INTO ANYTHING ? R THEY SUPPOSE 2?
THX |
don't expect much of a gain by simply advancing the timing via the distributor, the power is made by tuning the ecu and fuel/ignition maps on it, and really tuning the ignition should be saved for when ur on a dyno.
