tie bar installation

tie bar installation

to install the rear lower tie bar on my EG coupe, it is a straight forward installation? raise car, and attach to control arms?

I wouldn't necessariil say straight forward , normally when you pop the bolt for connecting the rod it shifts making it hard to put bolt back in . Best bet jack up car . take off rear tires . Install lower strut bar. put tires back on and enjoy. Bo and I did my car before the JSP show

noticable diffrence...how did it feel

did it hold the road better?...more predictable oversteer?

give me detaisl on how it effected the charistics of the car

Exactly what he said. Make sure to raise the car and take off the wheels, it will make things a hell of a lot easier. I had one on my old Civic and noticed a slight difference on certain sharp corners.

i brought my car to my mechanic and takes less than 10 mins if the car is in the air and have the proper air tools
to DIY is more painful and it's getting cold now so better get it done at a shop

Doing it yourself is actually pretty easy once you have done it once.

To make the rear a little more tail-happy, you need a rear sway bar. A tie bar doesn't make THAT much difference but there is some.
