ticking sound

my b20 vtec runs fine, but when its on idle, or when i rev, i hear a ticking sound coming from the head..My mechanic adjusted the valves ,and the problem went away for a bit and came back...Car runs perfect, its just the ticking sound...He hasnt had time to check it thouroughly, but just want some insight....It sounds like its coming fromt he cams, but they are not hitting anything...pistons are not hitting the valves, and im using a stage 1 cam on the b20z. i think the problem coulb be the the part where the cams sits and spins , its hitting and making contact....I dont know whats its called...Dead motion assembly or something like that...can someone give me insight as im lot...

thank..also how much is the part and please post thanks

does the tick increase when the revs increase?

What injectors are you running?

you should prolly be running some larger injectors (310cc or 330cc). But i think chris was asking what injectors you are using b/c if you are using DSM 450s they are notorious for being a little loud and ticky.
Do you know what your mechanic set the valve lash clearances to? Did he do the adjustment on a cold engine?
Lost motion assemblies can be ticky, if they are, it usually means its time for new ones. If you push the LMA down and it sticks, that generally means its needs to be replaced.
