throttle cable for swap

Hi, I did a search on the following topic but didn't really get the specific answer I was looking for...so here it goes.

I am doing a b16a sirII swap into a 1998 civic dx- my problem is with the throttle cable. The dx one is too short and I am kind of unsure which new throttle cable I will need.

Someone else wrote that they tried a '99 sir one, but it was too short. I have heard an Integra type R one will work, however if anyone else knows which cable would work w/ this setup that would be fantastic.

Do I have to pick the throttle cable up from a dealership or will a local autoparts tore sell them?

Much Mahalos!!

Something else that came to mind is switching over the pwer steering line- The part that fits into the top of the p/s pump is different. I have heard of other people switching this over and I am wondering if I need to pickup the whole line from the pump to the p/s rack.

I don't see how a 99-00 SiR throttle cable can be short, considering it's the same firewall, same pedal cluster, same chassis... and uses a B16A2. So an SiR is structurally equal to your car, if the cable doesn't fit, you're doing something wrong.

BTW.... the LX trottle cable found on my car is FUGGIN HUGEEE!!! After swaping manifolds, I have like an extra foot of cable.

anyways, it sounds to me like your research is weak.

Just make a bracket to relocate the throttle cable to the appropriate distance from the TB.
